Your tour operator will provide transportation that will pick you up from your hotel and drive 90 minutes to Carara National Park. During this drive your guide will tell you all about the towns and sceneries you pass through. This stunning haven hosts approximately 48% of Costa Rica’s aviary species, making this Manuel Antonio tour ideal for bird watching enthusiasts. There are 2 possible trails to explore each of them about 2 miles in length. During your hike, the nature guide will stop to point out exemplary species and offer explanations about them. Half way through this Manuel Antonio tour you will take a 20 minute break to rest and admire the scenery. One of the biggest attractions of this activity is the prospect of observing red macaws in action. After exploring the park you will embark on a unique mangrove boat tour of the Tarcoles river. You can observe some of the largest crocodiles in the area from an up close perspective. You will float through mangrove channels and get a chance to observe additional aviary specimens representative of this region. Take advantage of this opportunity and get some great photographs for your album for back home. Once you have finished the boat route which lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, you will return to base camp where a appetizing homemade lunch awaits you. At the end of the tour, transportation will be provided to take you back to your hotel. A minimum of 4 people are required to operate this Manuel Antonio tour, or in the event that less than 4 individuals want to participate they must cover the cost equivalent to 4 adult rates.
